RentWise is an independent comparison reference for US airport car rentals. We're not a booking engine. We don't take a commission on your rental, we don't reorder results based on who's paying us, and we don't operate a "deal of the day" carousel that hides the regular rate.
What we do
For every major US airport, RentWise maintains a single comparison page showing typical daily, weekly, and monthly rates from the five largest rental brands (Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, Budget, and National) across four common vehicle classes (Economy, Midsize, SUV, and Minivan). Every page is built from a deterministic snapshot, so the price you saw yesterday is the price you'll see today — no surge banners, no "only 2 cars left at this price" pressure tactics.
Where the data comes from
Airport metadata (codes, names, cities, time zones, coordinates) is pulled from the public OpenFlights airports database. Brand and rate information is compiled from publicly visible airport rental rates as observed in 2024–2025. The dataset is regenerated on each deployment via a one-time PHP seed script; we document the source in our project repository.
What we don't do
We don't process bookings, handle credit card information, store user accounts, or serve personalized content. RentWise is a public reference site. When you click through to a rental brand's site, you'll book directly with that brand on their terms.
Editorial independence
We accept advertising in clearly labeled placements. Advertising never affects which brands appear on a comparison page, what order they appear in, or what rates we display. If a brand wants better placement, the only way to earn it is to actually offer better rates at more airports.
